Why Wagyu?
Wagyu breed
Wagyu Cattle are a hardy breed, able to withstand versatile weather conditions. They have great temperament, which in turn allows for ease of management. The Wagyu breed is also very easy calving which means less stress on the cows within our supply chain but also on our farmer partners too.

Wagyu System
Our integrated Wagyu supply chain offers price stability with a fixed pricing structure, and up to £50 slaughter premium available. There are no charges or deductions at slaughter and payment is on dead weight of the animal, with both steers and heifers being of equal value. We offer premiums to our farmer partners based on the meat quality once processed. The animals are processed at one of the UK’s leading abattoirs and with long term customer contracts in place it means everyone has peace of mind for the future.

Support, SUSTAINABILITY and animal welfare
Warrendale Wagyu’s expert field team can assist with all aspects of the production system. Warrendale’s independent beef nutritionist is also on hand to advise on cattle nutrition and ensure optimum performance. The system allows for a low environmental footprint, using dairy calves in a grass-based growing system and throughout the supply chain we ensure the highest welfare standards are met on each farm.
