Warrendale is delighted to announce podcaster and agri advocate Wallace Currie as Conference Host and Gala Dinner MC.

Wallace Currie is a Knowledge Exchange Manager with the UK Agri Tech Centre, working on the ADOPT Support Hub to support farmer led innovation across the UK. With a background in agricultural education, Wallace previously lectured at SRUC and delivered international teaching programmes, including at Qingdao Agricultural University, where he specialised in global food systems, dairy and meat production, and sustainable agri food business.

Alongside his academic work, Wallace is the host of the R2Kast podcast, one of the most prolific food and farming podcasts globally, sharing stories from across the agricultural sector. He is also a Nuffield Scholar, focusing on pathways into agriculture, and has a strong interest in making the industry more accessible, connected and forward thinking.

Wallace has previously worked with Warrendale Wagyu on marketing and communications, giving him a strong appreciation of the brand, its values, and its position within the premium beef sector.

He says: “It’s a real pleasure to be involved with Warrendale Wagyu again. Having worked with the team previously, I’ve seen first hand the passion, innovation and attention to detail that underpins what they do. Events like this are vital for bringing people together, sharing ideas and continuing to push the industry forward.”

The Warrendale Wagyu Conference 2026 is taking place at the Borders Event Centre in Kelso on 13 and 14 May, to celebrate the ‘Bright Horizons of Wagyu.’ It is a chance to give back to our farming community with two days of masterclasses, expert panel sessions, on-farm workshops and an evening of celebration and entertainment.
