Emily Grant of Forrit (Farming and Consultancy) will join the workshop line-up on Day Two of the Warrendale Wagyu Conference 2026, speaking about how optimised pasture management can enhance Wagyu cattle operations.

The workshop will take place at Kelloe Mains Dairy Farm during a day of on-farm workshops, masterclasses and a farm tour.

Emily is an independent consultant and facilitator. Her business, Forrit, specialises in helping sheep and beef producers develop resilient, profitable pasture-based farming systems.  She works both one-to-one and with farmer groups or on innovation projects.  In 2018 she was awarded a Stapledon Trust Innovation Fellowship and travelled to NZ to learn more about pasture innovations and mixed species swards.

A missed generation farmer, Emily started starting her farming career in Perthshire with a handful of ewes on an annually rented field. Initially the business focused on producing prime lambs from pasture, but moved to producing breeding rams for Innovis. She has recently moved to Inverness-shire where she and her partner are busy setting up a suckler cow enterprise.  Emily is also a former trustee of Farmstrong Scotland.

The Warrendale Wagyu Conference 2026 is taking place at the Borders Event Centre in Kelso on 13 and 14 May, to celebrate the ‘Bright Horizons of Wagyu.’ It is a chance to give back to our farming community with two days of masterclasses, expert panel sessions, on-farm workshops and an evening of celebration and entertainment.
