Around 150 farmers attended from far and wide, with a summary of the business and breed progress by the Wagyu Breeders Association. John and Dot along with their family, run 360 Holstein Friesian cows and followers on their 700 acre farm. The farm is on a Arla Morrisons contract, running 50% sexed semen and 50% Wagyu. Previously they have finished bull beef, however this is now being phased our for Wagyu. Crooklands Farm is a mixture of arable and grassland and over the years John and Dot has diversified, by installing a 124 KW digester and most recently have invested in state of the art calf rearing facility.
