Warrendale Conference: Dr Carrie Ruxton joins speaker panel

Human nutritionist Dr Carrie Ruxton will join the line-up of speakers at the Warrendale Wagyu Conference 2026, to give expert insight into the unique fat and protein profile of Wagyu beef.
Her expertise will be divulged during a panel discussion, “Feeding the Future: Human Health, Nutrition and the Role of Premium Protein.” She will be joined on stage by Professor David Barling, who will bring a wider policy context around the beef supply chain.
Dr Ruxton is a UK-based dietitian who has worked with the red meat industry for over 12 years delivering positive messages around health and nutrition. She is a board member of Quality Meat Scotland, and publishes in academic journals and healthcare magazines.
The Warrendale Wagyu Conference 2026 is taking place at the Borders Event Centre in Kelso on 13 and 14 May, to celebrate the ‘Bright Horizons of Wagyu.’ It is a chance to give back to our farming community with two days of masterclasses, expert panel sessions, on-farm workshops and an evening of celebration and entertainment.
