John Crichton joins Warrendale in the north

Warrendale is delighted to announce the appointment of John Crichton as Senior Relationship Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience from across the UK livestock and agricultural sector.
John joins us with a lifetime of involvement in farming and a career deeply rooted in supporting livestock businesses. As highlighted in his professional summary, “John is a highly experienced agricultural professional with a lifetime of involvement in the farming sector, particularly within the dairy industry.” His background as the son of a dairy farmer, combined with decades spent working directly with producers, gives him exceptional farm‑gate credibility and a practical understanding of how farm businesses operate day-to-day.
Over the years, John has held senior regional and national roles, leading and developing large field‑based teams across the UK and Ireland. His track record includes restructuring business regions, mentoring teams, and delivering substantial commercial growth. In previous roles he has achieved growth for businesses, demonstrating his ability to implement effective strategies and drive performance.
John’s experience spans animal nutrition, agronomy, livestock production, consultancy, and specialist expertise in milking equipment: from conventional parlours to robotics. His leadership roles at Fullwood Joz, ForFarmers, BouMatic Europe, and earlier dealership and consultancy positions have helped him build an extensive and trusted network across Scotland, Northern England, and Northern Ireland.
He is particularly well‑connected within the Scottish farming community, where he has spent much of his career supporting farmers, dealers, and agricultural businesses. His ability to build rapport, communicate clearly, and support long‑term relationships makes him an ideal fit for Warrendale’s growing producer network.
About the role, John says, ‘I’m really looking forward to joining the Warrendale team and working closely with livestock farmers across the region. Developing the area by building relationships whilst maintaining sustainability and animal welfare in this ever changing market are my ambition and goal’.
John brings not only technical and commercial expertise but also the energy, motivation, and passion for agriculture that align with Warrendale’s values. His appointment strengthens our commitment to supporting farmers with knowledgeable, hands‑on, and relationship‑driven expertise.
